Appearances on the BBC played a crucial part in the extraordinary UK success enjoyed by Focus in 1972-73. Their live performances on TV’s The Old Grey Whistle Test and radio’s Sounds Of The ‘70s were much discussed at the time, and laid the foundation for a trio of hit singles in Sylvia, Hocus Pocus and House Of The King, all included here. Seven tracks showcase their distinctive mix of flute, keyboards and guitar with occasional yodelling. Sound is excellent throughout and the release comes with full recording details and extensive sleeve notes.
