Smaller and rounder than regular pepper, Voatsiperifery comes from a wild pepper plant that grows metres high in trees. The smell is intensely aromatic, and the flavour develops slowly on the tongue – perfect with game, grilled meat, mushrooms, goat cheese or even chocolate desserts.
